Who are we?

Overview

The general objective of the project is to create a model of employment guidance for People with Disabilities (henceforward: PwD), that is suitable for the current needs of the labour market. To achieve this, the project has set out specific objectives, including understanding the current situation of career guidance in the countries forming the consortium (Greece, Romania and Spain), sharing best practices and developing tools to measure the effectiveness of different guidance models. Project «Job4Dis» also aims to raise awareness and promote a paradigm shift in the employment guidance process towards employment for PwD.

The project will also seek the involvement and collaboration of public administrations and businesses in the quality integration of PwD into the workforce. By combining the public and private sector, «Job4Dis» focuses on inclusion and diversity, access to training resources, and improving the competences of guidance professionals who guide PwD in the job search process. The project will create a personalized insertion itinerary to improve the employability of PwD, which includes identifying training resources and techniques to help them adapt to any job and be more employable. Overall, our endeavor aims to provide PwD with the necessary tools and guidance to overcome the limitations they face in accessing employment.

EU Added Value

The E.U. is committed to promoting the inclusion of PwD in all aspects of society, including employment. By developing a guidance model that addresses the specific needs and challenges faced by PwD in the job market, the E.U. can improve the employment rates and the economic prospects of this group. More specifically, our project is in complete harmony and aligns with other European initiatives, namely the European Disability Strategy and the European Social Fund.

This will also lead to a more diverse and inclusive workforce, which is a key driver of economic growth and innovation. Furthermore, by promoting collaboration and sharing best practices among partner countries, the project can contribute to the E.U’s. efforts to build a more cohesive and integrated European society.
